  1.     Modify Naming Service Overrides
  2.  
  3.     This window allows you to modify a naming service override.
  4.  
  5.     Fields
  6.  
  7.     This window contains the following fields:
  8.  
  9.     Host/pool name
  10.  
  11.     Use this field to specify which host or pool will use these
  12.     overrides.
  13.  
  14.     Password/Group Overrides
  15.  
  16.     You can use this toggle to set up the overrides for user accounts.
  17.     Use this if you want to use an alternate account naming services
  18.     rather than those determined by Enlighten for your host/pool. You
  19.     can use overrides from the following types of naming services:
  20.  
  21.     + None (the default; no overrides are used in this area)
  22.     + /etc/... files
  23.     + NIS
  24.     + NIS+
  25.  
  26.     Domain Name
  27.  
  28.     If you've selected the NIS or NIS+ option in the Password/Group
  29.     Overrides field, use this field to specify the Masterhost domain
  30.     name.

  32.     Masterhost
  33.  
  34.     If you've selected the NIS or NIS+ option in the Password/Group
  35.     Overrides field, use this field to specify the NIS server providing
  36.     the user account and user group services.

  38.     Password file

  40.     If you've selected the NIS option in the Password/Group Overrides
  41.     field and you want to use a different password file (besides
  42.     /etc/passwd), use this field to specify that password file pathname.

  44.     Group file

  46.     If you've selected the NIS option in the Password/Group Overrides
  47.     field and you want to use a different group file (besides
  48.     /etc/group), use this field to specify that group file pathname.

  50.     Host Entries Overrides

  52.     You can use this toggle to set up the overrides for host entries.
  53.     Use this if you want to use an alternate host naming services rather
  54.     than those determined by Enlighten for your host/pool. You can use
  55.     overrides from the following types of naming services:

  57.     + None (the default; no overrides are used in this area)
  58.     + /etc/hosts files
  59.     + NIS
  60.     + NIS+
  61.     + DNS

  65.     If you've selected the NIS+ or DNS option in the Host Entry
  66.     Overrides field, use this field to specify the Masterhost domain
  67.     name.

  71.     If you've selected the NIS, NIS+, or DNS option in the Host Entry
  72.     Overrides field, use this field to specify the DNS server providing
  73.     the host entry services.

  77.     If you've selected the NIS option in the Host Entry Overrides field,
  78.     use this field to specify an alternate to the /etc/hosts file.

  80.     Named boot

  82.     If you've selected the DNS option in the Host Entry Overrides field,
  83.     use this field to specify an alternate to the /etc/named.boot file.
  84.     This file is used by the BIND daemon to locate the DNS configuration
  85.     files at system start-up.

  87.     Mail Alias Overrides
  88.  
  89.     You can use this toggle to set up the overrides for mail aliases.
  90.     Use this if you want to use an alternate aliases services rather
  91.     than those determined by Enlighten for your host/pool. You can use
  92.     overrides from the following types of naming services:

  94.     + None (the default; no overrides are used in this area)
  95.     + /etc/aliases files
  96.     + NIS
  97.     + NIS+

  101.     If you've selected the NIS+ option in the Mail Aliases Overrides
  102.     field, use this field to specify the Masterhost's domain name.

  106.     If you've selected the NIS or NIS+ option in the Mail Aliases
  107.     Overrides field, use this field to specify the NIS server name
  108.     providing the aliases services.

  110.     Aliases file

  112.     If you've selected the NIS option in the Mail Aliases Overrides
  113.     field and you want to use a different set of aliases, use this field
  114.     to specify that alias file pathname.

  116.     Buttons

  118.     This window contains the following buttons:

  122.     After you've entered all the relevant information, click on the Modify
  123.     button. Enlighten will save your specified overrides for the
  124.     designated host or pool.

  126.     Clear Fields
  127.  
  128.     Click on this button to clear the existing choices in all fields.

  132.     You can use the Next button to modify additional sets of naming
  133.     services overrides if you've selected more than one to modify from
  134.     the Naming Services Overrides list.

  136.     Cancel

  138.     Click on this button to close the window without making any changes.
